Every year in October, we switch to winter time.
We will need to remember to set our clocks back one hour on the night of Saturday, October 24th to Sunday, October 25th, 2026.
At 3:00 AM, it will therefore be 2:00 AM.
Daylight Saving Time was introduced in France following the 1973-1974 oil crisis.
In March 2019, Members of the European Parliament voted to abolish the seasonal time change, with implementation scheduled for 2021.
However, the end of the time change was subsequently postponed, notably due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This proposal to end the time change is no longer under consideration. So, on March 28th, 2027, when we switch back to summer time, we will lose an hour of sleep.
