A MAGNIFICENT TEAM WAS AT THE HELM !

From left to right : Christopher, Martine, Jean-Paul et Annie en action… (Cliquer sur la photo pour l’agrandir) Thanks to Annie, Christopher, Jean-Paul, Martine and Paulette, thanks to this magnificent team that you have formed today by braving the storm to come to the bedside of our chapel.
These cleanings, since we started them, have proven to be very useful for our chapel.
With these actions, our association affirms its determination to ensure its maintenance, our desire to preserve it and tomorrow to restore it.
This autumn cleaning was the first of its kind, it is a good thing that you did it.
A beneficial action to be repeated in 2025 !

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 7, ON THE OCCASION OF THE ASSOCIATIONS FORUM IN MÉZIDON-CANON
We were at the Eugène Moulin gymnasium from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

De gauche à droite : Téhani, Annie et Christopher, tous les trois sont membres du bureau de l’Association. (cliquer sur l’image pour l’agrandir) This meeting with the public gave us the opportunity to share our projects, to emphasize the importance of preserving our chapel.
This year, for this 7th Forum of Associations, we insisted on the heritage that the chapel of Saint-Maclou represents, the reasons for our association to save it; our desire to make it a place of meeting, exchanges and culture, to allow its accessibility in all circumstances !
So, we thank all those who came to exchange with us ; we hope to have convinced them! The Friends of the Chapel of Saint-Maclou

ON SATURDAY JULY 27, WE GO TO REPENTIGNY
Meeting with Marc Soulé,
President of the Association les Amis du Patrimoine de Repentigny
From left to right: Henri-Jean Lepetit and Marc Soulé in front of the magnificent altarpiece of the Saint-Martin church (click on the picture to enlarge) Saturday July 27, at the invitation of Marc Soulé, we went to Repentigny, a small village which dominates the Dorette valley.
On this occasion, we were able to visit the Saint-Martin church and admire, among other things, its medieval altarpiece dating from the end of the 16th century; a unique piece!
With a view to our future developments for the Saint-Maclou chapel, Marc presented us with the equipment produced.
These meetings between associations which have the same vision of the importance of preserving the heritage of Pays d’Auge, and which share the same objectives, contribute to advancing discussions, to the success of projects, to supporting and advising each other, as sometimes the labyrinth of constraints can prove discouraging.
A big thank you to Pierre Betelaud, parliamentary attaché to Jérémie Patrier-Leitus Deputy for the 3rd constituency of Calvados, for this connection and to Marc for his welcome.

ON THE PATHS OF THE SMALL CHURCHES
On Wednesday, July 23rd, at 3:00 p.m., the paths of the small churches passed by the chapel of Saint-Maclou.
On this occasion, we welcomed visitors from APEPA (Alliance for the Heritage of Churches in the Pays d’Auge).
Saint-Marcouf, the healer, and the mocking corbels of the north cornice were also on hand.
The visit concluded with a friendly drink, an excuse to taste Normandy local products.
We would like to sincerely thank Mariette Meunier, President of APEPA, for organizing this visit, which once again helped raise awareness of our chapel.
